negotiations to delay sanctions because the iranians are playing out the clock, luring us along and in 18 months say, we have nuclears! crippling sanctions now that we would let up on if the iranians change their behaviors. >> i read some changes you have spoken or perhaps written in publications in "human events," which you are editor, you say you cannot blame all of this on obama, the previous administration didn't put some force in place against iran when we should have been bankrupting them so we don't have to bomb them. now we may not have an option. >> at this point we don't. with all respect to k.t. there is no sanction to be made because one sanction that would work, the cut off of gasoline exports, russia is pumping more and venezuela announced they will send more gasoline so we cannot do that. but, yes, more bush has to suffer some of the blame for this. indeed, more clinton, does, too. if you ask his attorneys, iran

has been lying about the nuclear program since 1981, give or take so there is a lot of blame to go around in the olden days which i will define as "the bush 43" administration. we actually had the opportunity to fund and fuel a revolution, the young people there don't like this regime. i believe that window has closed. i don't believe we have the time to do that anymore. right now we have to act. and i just don't think ... >> you are talking 18 months, not five years -- 18 months between now and when iran gets the bomb. >> you are bringing up there was a moment, that opportunity, after the election, when ahmadinejad was put back in power under what appeared to be fraud and people went to the streets and if the united states, and the rest of the free world could have given them encouragement -- they did not have to go in militarily -- it could have been enough to put oxygen to the flame but, instead, we say that's not our business. >> my old boss, ronald reagan,

2:17 am
and we will lose more people than if we went in big. i'm not a fan of nation-building and i am not sure the bigger strategy will work but the fact of the matter is right now, mcchrystal is the worst possible. >> the military said after vietnam, never again we will have our military leaders tell us to do something we cannot do but that is what happened after iraq with rumsfeld sending in enough troops for defeat but nothing more and now they are saying "i need 40,000 more troops," and if we try to split the difference it is the worst of all because it bleeds. it is a slow bleed, the worst for the american military. >> yes-or-no as we close to each of you: he said he has to have 40,000 just to stay when the boundaries of winning; if he doesn't get it, does he resign and pull a mccar thursday and say that's -- mcarthur?
2:18 am

a proposed health care bill makes it mandatory for everyone in america to have health insurance and those who don't are subjected to a heavy fine, even going to jail. i want to talk people in their 20's, younger people who don't necessarily place health insurance at the top of their priority list and ask them how they feel about it. we have folks in our audience we have asked to come. these are young professionals. clark, molly, and kelsy. thanks to each of you. clark, you are employed in a small, nonprofit organization. >> yes. >> but right now, if your 20's, you are saying, i can't afor -- afford health insurance. it will cost more with everything else i have. >> i work for a small nonprofit, a startup, and i don't make a lot. i have money in my personal budget. i could my a private health insurance plan but i have made

insurance? >> i don't believe that's a good idea. i don't believe coercion is ever the answer. i think the government can go about this in a different manner. i think education and communication are key. funding that is very important. so that people can make informed decisions, can make the right decisions. they can accept what the government is putting forth. by putting a penalty or a fine, you are putting the word "health care" and "doctor" and "punishment," in the same arena. that can hurt or image. we train because we want to help people. i make myself available 24 hours a day to my parents who really care about their health. and i do it through the internet. i use hot lists, and facebook, and i use twitter linked in, my cell phone is on 24 hours of the day. so, if you make the effort -- as a young professional i

understand because i'm growing up with that generation. i as a dentist, for the past few months, have not been able to afford my own malpractice and disability insurance. do i want it? do i understand the importance? yes. and the people i'm buying from understand that. and they're helping me. they're not punishing me for not having it. >> an important point, you don't want to associate what you do with delivering health care services as a former of punishment. and kilsey i understand it is tough enough to make end's meet to buy groceries and pay rent. if you had to spent a couple hund dread a more for health insurance what does it mean to your lifestyle? >> it wouldn't be feasible. i'm just out of school when the last year. i have, you know, student loans, rent, a number of other bills i juggle and finding it hard even to get all the groceries i need.
2:26 am
that is part of becoming an adult and everything. but, if i were to, you know, to i needed another $200 to fit into that budget, right now it would not be possible. >> what do you think of the government finding you -- right now you would be a person that says, okay, you will pay a fine, possibly up to $25,000. or a year in jail. is it right to put -- how do you feel about that? >> that is a scary concept. i understand the poll is meant, you -- the policy is meant with good intentions and supposedly it will be affordable but for me, that's going to affect me directly and i want to know how it will become affordable. if it turns out that it is not, i'm going to be fined or put in jail. that is a scary concept. clark, what about you? you would be one of those persons because you are self-insuring. what about a fine? do you feel that is fair, the government would tell you "pay up." >> no, i am terrified.
2:27 am
prospect, it is scary they can force me to buy a service that i don't want, that i have cloazen not to buy and? i don't they are going to fine me for it? that's insane. that's not america. >> a final thing, i understand you supported obama in the legislation; is this a good idea he is pushing? >> this particular aspect of it is, you know, scary to me and i don't think it could be the wisest way to go about it. i'm sure that, you know, with everyone collaborating, maybe we can come up with a better option tore this particular part. obviously, it's terrifying to these young people to think the government might come after them -- not for committing a crime, not because they robbed a bank or stole money but because they didn't have insurance. think about that. that's something the senate is going to take up soon. thank you you all, thank you very: >> and next we have michael who cannot hear me.
